World Poker Tour announces new Regional and National Series

In a press release distributed early this week, the World Poker Tour has recently announced the creation of a new series of events branded WPT Regional Series Events in the U.S and WPT National Series Events in Europe.

Even when the event winners do not qualify for a WPT title, Player of the Year points or a WPT World Championship buy-in, the events guarantees participants a variety of accessible buy-ins, plus all the support and prestige associated with playing in a WPT branded event. WPT carefully chooses partners for Regional and National events, ensuring players a professional and high quality experience worthy of the WPT name. WPT anticipates announcing more branded Regional and National events throughout 2011.

The first WPT Regional and National events are:

• WPT Regional Series: Florida – Seminole Hard Rock Fall Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida from November 19 – 22, 2010 with a $4,750+$250 buy-in

• WPT Regional Series: Indiana – Hollywood Fall Classic at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana from November 20 -21, 2010 with a $1,500+$100 buy-in

• WPT National Series: Paris – EFOP Diamond Championship at Aviation Club de France in Paris, France from February 9 – 15, 2011 with a €5000 buy-in
