At present there are more than 26 players registered for the $100.000 buy in event, including poker pros Lex Veldhuis, Phil Laak, Bill Perkins, Humberto Brenes, Daniel Negreanu, Eugene Katchalov, Dan Shak, Bill Chen, Bryan Colin, Jason Mercier, Justin Smith, Scott Seiver, Bertrand Grospellier, Tom Marchese, Andrew Robl, Hoyt Corkins, Sorel Mizzi, Antonio Esfandiari, Masa Kagawa, Nick Schulman, Bryn Kenney, Matt Glantz, James Obst, Vivek Rajkumar, Shawn Buchanan and Ashton Griffin. With so many players having already bought in and more to come in the next 24 hours, it looks set to be the largest and richest Super High Roller poker tournament ever held.
Also starting on January 6th is the $2300 buy in Fish and Chips event, which takes participants to an exclusive fishing trip and poker tournament running until Friday, January 7th.
With a full schedule of events from January 6-16, PCA 2011 is set to be the biggest ever, with a poker tournament for everyone. For the second year the PCA schedule will feature two ladies-only events, $1,000 and $300 tournaments. The PokerStars Women’s Caribbean Adventure $1,000 main event takes place on Friday 14, 2011 at 14:00 ET, and will welcome online qualifiers and special guests. Also on the schedule is the Poker Stars Women’s Caribbean Adventure, which runs January 13-16, 2011.
The PCA World Cup of Poker returns this year on January 14-15, while the flagship $10,000 Main Event, which runs from January 8-15, will this time feature a live televised final table (hole cards revealed), with a one-hour delay on ESPN and PokerStars.tv.
