European Poker Tour gets ready for EPT Deauville

After a highly successful tournament held last December in Prague, Czech Republic, the European Poker Tour is getting ready for its next stop in the season VII calendar: the EPT Deauville.

The annual stop will be held he elegant seaside resort of Deauville in Normandy, from January 25-31, 2011. Last season, the event set a new record, attracting 768 players to the Casino de Deauville, which generated a €3,686,400 prize pool. In Season 6, British online poker player Jake “neverbluff67” Cody, 21, won the title and a first prize of €847,000 after besting a record-breaking field.

The Season 7 EPT Deauville event will take place at the Casino Barriere located right on Deauville’s beautiful beach and close to the town’s premier hotels, shops, bars and restaurants.

The €5,000 + €300 Main Event will kick off on January 25th (Day 1A), with the final table scheduled to take place on January 31st. Players can buy in directly or qualify through the available €500 + €50 satellites running previous to the Main Event.
