2011 World Series of Poker Europe moves to France

Caesars Interactive Entertainment, owner and operator of the World Series of Poker brand, announced that the annual WSOPE tournament series will move to a new venue in France after four years at the Casino of the Empire in London.

According to a press conference held today, Caesars Interactive Entertainment has entered a three year agreement with Casino Barrière de Cannes Croisette and the Hôtel Majestic Barrière, to host the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) from October 7th to 21st in Paris, France.

Lucien Barrière Hôtels & Casinos is a well-run organization and we are excited to work with them to access the French market with high-quality and reputable poker events both in their hotels and casinos, and online with BarrierePoker.fr." said Mitch Garber of Caesars Interactive Entertainment.

The new venue will feature 75 tables, twice the capacity of the Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square, London. The 2011 WSOP Europe will offer seven events, two more bracelets that its previous edition.
