PokerStars releases Macau Poker Cup schedule

PokerStars.com and the Macau at Casino Grand Lisboa have recently released the official schedule for the upcoming Macau Poker Cup (MPC) running from May 28th to June 5th. Due the overwhelming success of the MPC held in February, organizers have given the poker tournament a series a makeover to accommodate the rapid growth in player numbers.

“We prepared an enhanced schedule well before the Macau Poker Cup took place in February. The amazing thing is that the last MPC was a bigger success than we imagined so we‘ve made changes to improve our schedule in anticipation of further growth.” said Roberto Wong, PokerStars Macau Business Manager.

The expansion begins with a program that features 8 Official Asia Player of the Year events running over 9 days. The signature Red Dragon tournament guarantees a HKD $3,000,000 prize pool and this main event is now a 4-day event.

PokerStars Macau revamped schedule also features the new 3x Turbo Rebuy Red Dragon Satellite which guarantees 5 Red Dragon entries. This will be the first ever live version of this popular online satellite structure and will give players a chance to qualify for the HKD $11,000 main event for as little as HKD $500.

Other events on the schedule includes the popular $3,000 NLH, a $1,000 Charity event, $1,500 Deepstack, as well as the new $5,000 KO Bounty event, $6,000 NLH, and HKD $30,000 High Rollers event. Also new on the schedule is the $4,000 Teams Event which has 2-player teams compete with each other. To celebrate the 13th Macau Poker Cup, PokerStars Macau is running the Play With Team PokerStars promotion where fans can play with their favorite Team PokerStars PRO: Asia.

Players can qualify FREE on PokerStars.net for a chance to play with Team PokerStars Pros Bryan Huang, Raymond Wu, and Celina Lin. Qualifiers will receive a Macau Poker Cup Package comprised by the $4,000 Teams Event entry, $500 for traveling expenses, accommodation at Grand Lisboa Hotel, and a Team PokerStars PRO: Asia teammate.

Qualifying freerolls run from Monday to Saturday at 6:00 PM & 9:00 PM (HKT). Freerolls can be found on Poker Stars site at 'Events' tab, then click 'Macau'. This promotion runs from April 18 - May 15
