For the first time during 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, players from all starting days will be in action together. The list of pros returning to the Amazon room for Day 3 include 2009 WSOP Main Event winner Joe Cada, Vanessa Selbst, Jason Mercier, Humberto Brenes, Vanessa Rousso, David Williams, Barry Greenstein and Daniel Negreanu, as well as Russian pro Alexander Kostritsyn, Barry Shulman, Jean-Robert Bellande, Gavin Smith, Lisa Parsons, Phil Laak, Johnny Chan, Robert Mizrachi, Sammy Farha, Patrik Antonius and Hoyt Corkins.
Some of the notable eliminations on Day 2-A and Day 2-B included pros Eli Elezra, Carlos Mortensen, Ted Forrest, multiple WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey, Italian pro Luca Pagano, James Akenhead, Mike Sexton, Antonio Esfandiari, Freddy Deeb, Doyle Brunson, Cyndy Violette, Steve Zolotow, Orel Hershiser, Shannon Elizabeth, J.C Tran and Jeff Williams.
Day 3 kicked off with Canadian player David Assouline holding the chip lead with 387.000 in chips. The remaining field of 2,557 players re-convened at the mid-point of level nine, with blinds at 500-1,000. Players are expected to burst the money bubble sometime on Day 4 or Day 5. The action will continue for the next 5 days. The field of Nine players returning in November for the Final Table will be determined on Saturday, July 17th.
