PokerStars to host special Charity Event at EPT London

PokerStars.com is inviting players to help a charitable cause and join the world leading online poker site in a special event set to run from October 2nd to 4th in London, England.

The £100,000 Guaranteed event will run as part of the European Poker Tour (EPT) London and will offer players a £100+£10+£10 buy in with £10 with benefiting the Cancer Research UK.

The tournament is one of many charity events sponsored by the EPT and Poker Stars. The EPT Season 5’s Grand Final in Monte Carlo played host to an Ante up for Africa event that raised over €160,000 for the refugees in Darfur, Sudan.

PokerStars has also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through numerous live and online events, raising $250,000 for AIDS research via the 2007 Life Ball and the 2010 PCA amfAR Charity Tournament and nearly $150,000 for the earthquake victims in China through tournaments and player donations.
