PLO is the poker game of the future

With so many young internet players having proclaimed No Limit Hold'em "solved", it seems like PLO is the new frontier for high stakes poker players.

With big stakes and post-flop action due to the types of hands that are playable, it plays just as big, or bigger, than NLHE.

Since PLO is also a game that involves so many swings it's a ton of fun for big gamblers.

I know that PLO is the game I've put the majority of hands in at the last 4 months and I think it's a lot more fun than NLHE myself.

I am not one to proclaim NLHE solved, if that's possible I know I haven't got it figured out.

I do think however if you were to take a sample of the high stakes tables at Full Tilt ($25/$50 and up) you'll find much more action at the PLO tables than NLHE.

I know you play PLO alot, so has it improved your game any?

To me this game is just like NLHE in a tournament as far as players bidding with nothing and getting lucky on the flop or river. But I do enjoy playing it, but I like H/L better.

While PLO seems to be the ring game high stakes game of choice right now, I think the 8 game mix will become more of a factor in the long run. As the NLHE experts transition to PLO, it's only natural they'll want to learn the mixed games to balance out their ability and reputation as being a complete player.

As for the stakes, I don't think the pots will ever play as big simply because of the limit factor. We may see bigger limits though.
