Alan Goehring was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 21st 1962. A retired Wall Street bond trader, resident of Henderson, Nevada, Alan doesn't really play to make money, but to have fun.

For the last 7 years Goehring has been playing in big events on the poker tournament circuit. In 2003 he won the inaugural WPT Championship event.

In February 2006 Goehring achieved finishing first at the LA Poker Classic taking home nearly $2,400,000. This victory brought him to exceed $5,000,000 in total live tournament winnings. That's quite a remunerative way of having fun!
