    Greg "Fossilman" Raymer leaves PokerStars

If you've logged into Stars and tried to find Raymer under the stars pros, you've noticed he's no longer listed.

According to Kathy Lieberts Twitter feed, she essentially said Stars was cutting pro compensation and Raymer decided to leave rather than take a cut.

This is too bad for Raymer, a fine ambassador for poker and longtime pro.

Its not like he is Phil Ivey or something so he should of took the cut, if he would win more often then maybe his pay wouldnt be cut.

I think Stars sees the value of bringing in young internet guys like Lex Veldhuis. They're cheaper and likely do better in tournaments / cash games than the ME winners.

Now if you've won millions and managed your money wisely then taking a pay cut probably isn't a big deal. Someone like Chris Moneymaker I'm sure would take the deal. He plays on a semi-regular basis but it's not like he's setting the world on fire with his results. He's probably more than happy to earn side income from Stars and get his tourney entries paid for.

So is it possible he will go somewhere else? I don't play on PS anymore, so really doesn't matter to me. Or are they allowed to go to another poker site as a pro?

It's possible but if he left over a pat issue the only place to go is full tilt. I doubt theyd have much interest.
